Four of NYB’s members are songwriters\, combining their distinct Indie\, Punk\, Acoustic\, and Emo signature styles into eclectic\, genre-busting songs\, reminiscent of Pixies. The band is shaking up the traditional concept of a rock band by trading instruments\, featuring multiple “lead” singers\, and applying general queer chaos. If you want to rock out\, cry\, and dance–a Not Your Baby show is the one for you. They might not be your baby\, but you are certainly theirs. \nClidesfeld\n \nClidesfeld is an alternative rock and post-punk project by Brandon Patrick Sullivan of Minneapolis\, Minnesota. Performing as a power trio with Andrew Yost and Jaime Rossow\, Clidesfeld tells layered personal stories of dysfunction and estrangement through irony\, allegory\, and often lots of distortion. \nBasement Heroes\nBasement Heroes are three cool guys looking for other cool guys\, gals\, and humans to listen to their music. They make a combination of pop-punk\, emo\, and alternative music that somehow…works? From nonsensical song titles to electronic-inspired breakdowns\, you’re sure to be left thinking “What the [expletive] did I just listen to?”

Easily recognizable by their heavy bass lines\, wailing guitar solos\, banging drums and bluesy vocals. All mixed together birthing their signature sound with inspiration taken from Clutch\, Stone Temple Pilots\, Jimi Hendrix and more. \nTheir debut album\, Dead Amsterdam self-titled\, was recorded at Pachyderm Recording Studio in Canon Falls\, MN and released the summer of 2023. \nSince the recording and release of their debut album\, Dead Amsterdam has been playing festivals\, local favorite venues and breweries in Minnesota & Wisconsin with bands like Nonpoint\, FLAW\, Blacktop Mojo\, Texas Hippie Coalition and Hinder to name a few. You can find them playing shows such as Rockfest\, Northwoods Rock Rally\, Monster Hall Music Fest and more this summer! Inspired by Umphrey’s McGee\, Snarky Puppy\, Lettuce\, Phish and many others\, their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive blend of jazz fusion\, prog rock\, jam rock and more\, all with the consistent underlying grooves of funk. Wurk has opened for acts including The Motet and Andy Frasco & the U.N. and helped pack venues across Wisconsin. Described by Isthmus Magazine as “summer-jam-perfect” and two-time recipient of the Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Artist of the Year Award (2019\, 2022)\, Wurk fills the gap between complexity and groove\, impressing fans and keeping them dancing all night. \n \nSunshine and the Night Walkers\nare a blues\, funk and soul seven piece band from St. Paul\, Mn that will get you shaking and sweating. Once you get all lathered up they like to hit you with a soul stirring tune that comes from dark\, undiscovered places. Most of the band met going to college at McNally Smith College of Music. In summer of 2022 they released their first full length album\, Born In The Basement.

DESCRIPTION:Join Emily and the Space Butterflies for their album release show! With support from Polivon and Rhino Shrine. \nEmily and the Space Butterflies\nEmily and The Space Butterflies was spontaneously formed in February 2023 at a music teacher convention. Based in Minneapolis\, the band is composed of five classically trained musicians and music educators. Drawing inspiration from the realms of pop\, rock\, and the narratives of female singer-songwriters\, Emily Malmgren’s songwriting serves as the cornerstone of the band. The band’s collaborative process shapes what starts as a voice memo of Emily and her piano into unique arrangements that highlight each member\, infusing each song with technical precision and creative flair. With infectious energy and catchy melodies\, Emily and The Space Butterflies aim to always leave you wanting more. \n \nPolivon\nPolivon was formed in Summer of 2023\, when our singer Andrew Njogu asked a few of his high school buddies to join him in writing tunes to perform live. We set out to play a few local bars\, and hosted a few shows in our garage practice space(since moved out) in Como Mpls over this past summer. We generally revolve around styles rooted in 60s-70s pop-rock\, with long and driving jams to melt your ears\, often infused with elements of R&B\, country\, and stories about love. Each member brings their own unique touch brought by their differing musical backgrounds\, blending into a spontaneous and diverse selection of music\, including many covers! \n  \nRhino Shrine\nRhino Shrine was formed in 2017 when the high school project The Crak Pots decided to do some lineup and style changes. Lifelong friends Gavin Jarl (Lead Vocals\, Guitar)\, Bud Hjelmberg (Lead Guitar)\, and Adam Trelstad (Keys\, Trumpet) were joined by Ben Ranney (Bass) and Martin Corral (Drums) and with the release of their first single Tangerine Dream\, they began crafting a sound both unique to themselves and right at home in the Minneapolis scene.

DESCRIPTION:J-Mo on the Beat and the J-Lighters\nJamie Passewe (J-Mo On The Beat) is a singer-songwriter and musician born and raised in Saint Paul\, Minnesota. His music reflects on the styles of the 50s and early 60s\, as well as a touch of alternative and indie rock. His sound is influenced by artists such as Elvis Presley\, Michael Jackson\, Cliff Richard\, Stephen Sanchez\, and Billy Fury. He started performing at the age of 10 with dancing and explored becoming a music artist as a full on life journey in high school. He is now a college graduate (from Saint Paul College) with the support from his community\, which he calls his “J-Lighters”. He loves to play the local Twin Cities spots like Caydence Records and Coffee\, Kj’s Hideaway\, White Squirrel\, and more\, as both as a solo artist or with his amazing band\, The J-Lighters! \n \nThe Rowdy Gents\nThe Rowdy Gents are a rockabilly band that formed in February of 2021 in Minneapolis\, MN through the love of early rock & roll and a series of lucky Craigslist inquiries. The original lineup of the band consisted of singer/guitarist\, Kody Gerard\, bassist/harmonicist\, Nolan Larson\, and drummer\, Kellan Pontarolo in which they recorded and released singles (‘Til Then) I’ll Be Blue/My Babe and Five More Days/You Did Me Right in April of 2022. In June of 2022\, Pontarolo left the band and was soon replaced by Jake Pomasl. The band later released their first full album\, Old Fashioned Love Songs in December of 2023. The Rowdy Gents pull inspiration from the classic artists of the 1950’s to deliver a fun\, entertaining sound that you can’t help but dance to. \n \n
