Trevor James Americana Rebel
Pulling the roots of country music then mixing punk, rockabilly, bluegrass, and New Americana together creating a familiar but unique sound. It holds the high lonesome sound we've heard from Hank and Cash but with a nitty gritty edge.
Trevor's songs hold nothing back from life experiences. He sings from the heart be it love lost or love gained, regret and the good times. He finds the upside to remind us that the sun still shines. He takes country routes and crosses the road creating an edge to his sound which makes him an Americana Rebel.
In spring 2016 Trevor recorded his first album called Broken Heart Express produced by Dave Simonet of Trampled by Turtles. Still having some bluegrass influence, the song Bible Belt keeps that sound alive as Dave Simonet likes to respectably call it "Swamp Grass". The rest of "Broken Heart Express" is a mix of old and new americana. To be released summer 2017.

“how can I possibly pass up the idea of starting out a new year writing about something called The Lo-Fi Rockabilly Blues Trash Boogie Woogie Stomp? To quote Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction, “That would be an impossibility.” Jaw Knee Vee, allow me to say you had me at the title of your album. I could leave it at that, but you all know me better than that. Jaw Knee Vee is basically a musical hurricane who doesn’t so much play his instruments (some stringed instrument, kick drum, and cymbal) as assault them. I’ve heard a lot of one-man bands and this dude is as good as any of them. I’m not kidding you. Before you know it you’re hearing track 4 of this EP. What is so noteworthy about that? Humor me on this first day of 2013. Stop whatever you’re doing, turn up the volume on whatever device you’re reading this on and just listen to “Slidewinder” (track”
Setting off on a solo journey, Hanson spent the following year writing and recording her Self-Titled EP, released in the summer of 2015. A very introspective record on many counts, the EP was completed in a classic home recording space by friend and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Sachs. Her sound is familiar, yet not overly derivative, from a timeless era of true classics. Rachel’s voice blends beauty with power, and floats over a musical landscape of air and stone.
Hanson performs extensively in the greater Upper-Midwest, both as a solo artist and collaborating with groups of accomplished players. Most recently, she has been backed by Evan Middlesworth on Baritone guitar and Collin Carey on drums.
Her debut full-length album is in the works, engineered by Evan Middlesworth at Pine Hollow near Eau Claire, WI.
