Buckaroux Banshees

Twin Cities “Resident Party Punkers”
Buckaroux Banshees have been performing high energy live shows — from basements to bar rooms — since 2013.
“Riff-forward and reality-bitten, we’re here to keep the aging spirit of punk rock not just alive
— but foaming at the mouth.”

Unattractive Giant Monster

Unattractive Giant Monster is a post genre, weirdo sewer punk band from the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Fueled by hot dogs and inspired by bands like The Butthole Surfers, Devo, and Diarrhea Planet, UGM is ready to party.

Atomic Lights

Atomic Lights began in the summer of 2012. 3 piece high speed rock and roll with a knack for the noisier side of things. Stay Loud.

Blur Curve

We like it loud and fast.

Born from Grunge, BlurCurve have always been somewhere musically in-between. Neither Grunge nor Progressive Metal, Shoegaze nor Hardcore, BlurCurve have forged their own path toward 2023’s Pluto & The Fool. What started as two lifelong friends jamming to whatever felt good and playing as loud as possible, turned into a journey of self-discovery on the themes of addiction, loss and regrowth. Singer Alythia Scully (they/them) says as much when discussing their creative process toward writing the songs on Pluto & The Fool, “I wrote these songs to empower listeners to wake up to their potential and to their own power; all while processing grief, codependency, oppression and our society’s need to ‘keep up with the Joneses.’ Songs like Initiation speak to the self-power highlighted where lines like, ‘words of a language that doesn’t exist’ is meant to dispel the gatekeeping that one practice or doctrine is better than another. There is no ‘language of creation,’ nobody can teach you anything you won’t learn through stillness and observation.” This introspection is met with the instrumental sonic landscape crafted by other members, where influences like Catherine Wheel intersect with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Gojira. The entirety of Pluto & The Fool capitalizes on these genre and stylistic intersections to provide a finished product and stage show that lives up to the band’s mantra: We like it loud & fast.

Get ready for a relentless night of loud, fast, and unapologetic original music as Buckaroux Banshees, Unattractive Giant Monster, Atomic Lights, and BlurCurve take over the Day Block Brewing Tap Room on Thursday, July 30.

Headlining the night, Twin Cities favorites Buckaroux Banshees bring their signature brand of high-energy party punk that’s been igniting basements, bars, and venues since 2013. With riff-forward anthems and an infectious live show, they’re keeping the spirit of punk rock alive—and foaming at the mouth.

Joining the lineup is Unattractive Giant Monster, a self-described post-genre sewer punk band fueled by hot dogs and inspired by the wild sounds of Butthole Surfers, Devo, and Diarrhea Planet. Equal parts chaotic, quirky, and unforgettable, UGM is always ready to throw a party.

Atomic Lights keep the momentum rolling with their blistering three-piece attack of high-speed rock and roll. Since 2012, they’ve built a reputation for loud, fast, noise-infused performances that never let up.

Opening the evening is BlurCurve, a band that refuses to fit neatly into one genre. Blending grunge, progressive metal, shoegaze, hardcore, and alternative influences, they create a powerful sonic experience driven by themes of growth, resilience, and self-discovery. Their explosive live show combines crushing instrumentation with emotionally charged songwriting for a performance that’s both thought-provoking and intense.

Whether you’re a lifelong punk fan or just looking for an unforgettable night of original music, this stacked lineup delivers nonstop energy from the first note to the final encore. Grab a craft beer, settle into the intimate atmosphere of the Day Block Brewing Tap Room, and experience four of the Twin Cities’ most exciting original bands sharing one stage.
