Hailing from Saint Paul, Minnesota, Jamie’s music effortlessly blends the classic 50s and 60s vibes with contemporary rock and pop elements, creating a unique and captivating sound. Influenced by legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Cliff Richard, and Billy Fury, Jamie’s musical journey began at a tender age with dancing, eventually blossoming into a fervent desire to become a music artist during his high school years. With the unwavering support of his talented backing band, The J-Lighters, who skillfully capture the essence of the 50s sound, Jamie confidently ventures into the music scene.

Formed in the Summer of 2023, aspiring songwriter Andrew Njogu asked a few of his high school buddies to join him in writing tunes to perform live. The group set out to play a few local bars, and hosted a few shows in their garage practice space in Como, Minneapolis. Their sound generally revolves around styles rooted in 60s-70s pop-rock, with long and driving jams to melt your ears, often infused with elements of R&B, country, and stories about love. Each member brings their own unique touch brought by their differing musical backgrounds, blending into a spontaneous and diverse selection of music, including many covers!
