The Jared Benson Band delivers high-energy Country Rock rooted in Midwest grit, blending modern country with Southern rock influences and honest storytelling. Based in Iowa, the band has built a reputation for powerful live performances, sharing stages with national touring artists while steadily growing an engaged fanbase throughout the Midwest. Fronted by singer-songwriter and Moorhead, MN native Jared Benson, the band performs a mix of original music and crowd-favorite country and rock covers, making them equally at home at festivals, fairs, theaters, music venues, and clubs. With new music continuing to gain traction on streaming platforms and a sophmore “Back Row Sinner” dropping, the Jared Benson Band is expanding its reach through regional touring and strategic support opportunities with national acts. Jared and his band have opened for artists like Aaron Lewis, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Bailey Zimmerman, Easton Corbin, Confederate Railroad and Ashley Cooke.
Dan Brekke Band
Playing a variety of songs from Country, Blues, rock, and original music, you will be sure to have a great time attending a show. Also a Moorhead, MN native, Dan Brekke found his passion for music at a young age being raised by his mom, Kathie Brekke, who is a choir teacher and his dad, Shawn Brekke, who was a band director for many years. He grew up surrounded by music and was always in attendance at his parents’ shows as they have a band of their own. He started playing instruments at a young age and grew up performing on the stage at Jasper’s Theater in Park Rapids, MN, his family-owned theater. There is where he found his love for the guitar, the fiddle, singing and just sharing his gift of music and his ability to make people laugh with everyone who walked through the doors. He joined the Johnny Holm band at the age of 19 and enjoyed traveling all across the upper Midwest performing at various bars, fairs, and events. When he turned 21, he made the big move to Nashville. He spent over three years in the music scene in Nashville performing endless hours on Broadway and creating music of his own in his free time. He truly has a gift for song writing. Dan and his band now spend their time touring the Midwest and have opened for many national touring acts in country music. His New EP – “Long Time Running” is available on all streaming platforms.

Kick off the new year with a night of Midwest country, rock, blues, and live music as the Dan Brekke Band and Jared Benson Band take over the Tap Room at Day Block Brewing.
Opening the night, the Dan Brekke Band brings together country, blues, rock, and original music with a strong connection to the Upper Midwest music scene. A Moorhead, Minnesota native, Dan Brekke grew up surrounded by music and began performing at a young age. His musical journey has taken him from his family’s theater in Park Rapids to stages throughout the Midwest and more than three years immersed in Nashville’s music scene. His experience with the Johnny Holm Band and years of performing across the country have helped shape a versatile live show filled with guitar, fiddle, vocals, original songs, and plenty of personality. Dan’s latest EP, “Long Time Running,” is available on streaming platforms.
