Eldest Daughter
Eldest Daughter blends Americana songwriting with pop progressions and indie-rock influence. With songs about home, family ties, growth, loss, and love, lead singer (and eldest daughter) Monica Merila takes the listener on a journey through a dynamic relationship with self. Backed by lead guitarist Austin Reid, bass player Sonja Quartz Leaf, and drummer Isaac Feia, this fearless foursome is on a mission to share their music with Minnesota and beyond.

Everything and everyone has a frequency. All it takes is a bit of listening to find inspiration from the natural rhythms of life. Tarias and the Sound is the musical brainchild of me, Minnesota’s own Anthony Omodt-Lopez. Utilizing my roots in the blues and musical theatre, as well as a Gen. Z perspective on the world, I hope to create a unique and resonant experience for the listener.
