The Del-Viles
Swayed by mod, blues, and R & B, The Del-Viles play danceable garage rock.
PWS ( Piss With Style )
If CBGB, noise rock, and the garage revival had a 3 way, their unholy love child would be donned Piss with Style. With loud, funky and emotionally charged songs, their influences span decades of rock n’ roll royalty, all while poetically creating gritty personal narratives, and grappling with both existential dread and urban decay. The Twin Cities have helped resurrect Piss with Style to the fear and pleasure of everyone in the wake.
Sodalites
Sodalites is a brand-new rock band from the Twin Cities. Formed in July 2026, they focus on combining psychedelic rock and metal with a progressive edge.
A Night of Garage Rock, Psych, and Noise at Day Block Brewing
Thursday, December 17, the Tap Room at Day Block Brewing gets loud with three Twin Cities bands bringing distinct takes on raw, riff-driven rock. Doors open at 7 p.m., with music from 8 to 11 p.m. The lineup moves from psychedelic and progressive sounds to gritty noise rock, then closes with danceable garage rock.
Sodalites open the show, setting the tone with a heady mix of psychedelic rock and metal, shaped by progressive twists. Expect heavy passages, shifting dynamics, and a set that invites you to settle into the sound as it builds.
Piss with Style takes the stage second, bringing a rough-edged, high-energy blend of garage revival and noise rock. Their songs pair loud, funky guitars with emotionally charged storytelling—music with grit, attitude, and a little existential unease.
The Del-Viles close out the night, steering the room toward the dance floor with garage rock colored by mod, blues, and R&B. Their lively, groove-forward sound makes for a spirited finish and a reason to stick around until the last song.
The Tap Room’s close-up, casual atmosphere is a great fit for a night like this: grab a spot, catch the bands up close, and enjoy the change in sound as each act takes over. Come hungry or thirsty—Day Block serves house-brewed beer alongside a scratch-made food menu, including specialty pizzas and burgers.
